County budgets shouldn’t feel confusing or out of reach. I believe people deserve clear information, straightforward explanations, and openness about priorities. Transparency means more than posting numbers. Transparency means explaining why choices are made and how they reflect real community needs.
Responsible budgeting also means reviewing existing spending carefully, asking whether current allocations still make sense, and being willing to adjust when they don’t. It means avoiding waste, using outside funding responsibly, and making sure public dollars are used for their intended purpose.
When spending is clear and accountable, trust grows. Our community can have confidence that decisions are being made fairly, thoughtfully, and in the open.
My goal is simple: to treat public money with the same care and responsibility families expect in their own lives. When budgeting is transparent and grounded in shared values, county government works better for everyone.
